Happy valentines day 2014!

Hello & Happy Valentines day from London!

What did you do on valentines day?

Besides sending roses to your love ones, chocolates are also the one of common things people give as a gift. Personalised chocolates are even more special and meaningful, don’t you think? And for this valentines, I went to M&Ms world London and got it made specially for me. How cool is that?!

M&Ms World is located at Leicester Square, right in the heart of Central London. It’s 4 floors filled with chocolates, toys, clothes and exclusive goodies. It is the world’s largest candy store in the world covering 35,000 square metres.

The bright colorful store accompanied with it’s special chocolate scent brings joy to customers and attracts kids. Being a kid myself, I was attracted to their huge glass cylinders filled with M&Ms in a multitude of colors. I was mesmerized. Going crazy over choices of colours and what not.

If you’re a big fan of M&Ms, this is heaven for you right here.

There are plenty of cool M&Ms merchandise that you can get here but mind you, it’s quite expensive.

The personalised M&Ms booth are a floor below, when we got there, we were directed by the happy and uber friendly staff to the machine and keyed in whatever we want on the M&Ms. There are 4 different categories of clipart pictures or words to choose from. I decided on 2 clipart pictures, my name and hearts.

After payment was made, I filled up my tub with the variety of colours I want available in store. I wish I could empty each and every cylinder in store. Talk about being greedy. LOL!

Once the tub was filled with colourful M&Ms, I was required to press a giant green button where the process take place and boy, I felt like a little kid following instructions and procedures.

Within minutes, the personalized M&Ms was ready. I got me thinking though, “how can the machine tell the difference on which side the message to be printed so that it won’t overlap the ‘m’ letter. Right? I guess the machine has its magical ways to work wonders.

Voilà! My personalised M&Ms for him on this Valentine’s day!

JUICIEST BURGER I’VE EVER TASTED!

Hello!

There are several times when I passed by this burger restaurant, we noticed that people were queuing without fail. Me being me,  the temptation and curiosity of trying the burgers increases every time we passed by! I mean, a restaurant that is constantly swarmed with people, it got me thinking: that burger must be damn good right? The thought of it was in my mind since my last trip here, last year. I didn’t get the chance to give it a try.

Few days ago, we’re back here and passed by that restaurant again, and boy, still! people were queuing! I told to myself that we HAVE to try! So finally, we took the plunge, we were in line with those people yesterday. Haha!

We waited about 35 minutes, it was freezing cold (5°C) and windy. But we still waited till it was our turn. THIS BURGER BETTER BE GOOD!!!

Patty & Bun is the name of the restaurant, it’s located at;

54, James St London W1U 1HE.

Just about 3 minutes walk from Bond Street Station.

It’s a small restaurant, hence they don’t take any reservation and they don’t take for 10 pax and above. It’s first come first serve basis.

After all that wait and shivering, we were seated and already feeling hungry. Let’s see if it’s worth the wait.

We ordered:

‘Ari Gold’ Cheeseburger – beef patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickled onions, ketchup, Smokey P&B mayo, brioche. £7.50

Omaigod. I’m already drooling.

I had:

‘Smokey Robinson’ burger – Beef patty, cheese, tomato, lettuce, mounds of caramelised onions, ketchup, Smokey P&B mayo, brioche. £8.50.

IT IS THE JUICIEST BURGER EVER!!!

You know what, it was so good that I don’t mind queuing again. I’m the type of person who rarely finish my meal whenever we eat outside and always had to make it to go. Surprisingly, I actually finished it. Burger that size, usually will taste ‘jelak’ half way, but this one, was PERFECT! And it wasn’t dry like any other burger out there. Burger bakar? Nigga please. It was cooked medium rare which make it JUICYYYYYYYYY BABEYHHHHH!

Man, I don’t mind having one now as I speak!

And oh, we also ordered sides, which was ‘Winger Winger Chicken Dinner’. Smoked confit wings with BBQ sauce and spring onions £5.50.

It was also good, the sauce was thick and creamy. (Blurred picture coz we couldn’t wait any longer!)

After I finished my burger, I actually can take one more. Can you believe it? But I decided not to because I’ve been eating TOO much the moment I arrived London. All I did was eat and be a potato couch. Dammit! I don’t know if it’s the weather or I simply love to eat. haha

We didn’t really get to snap pictures inside of the restaurant because we were kinda hungry that we ordered our meals the moment we sat down. Secondly, we were cramped between other customers and our layers of coats. Lastly, this kind of small restaurant with people queuing for it, you basically have to leave ASAP after you’re done. Eat & Go.

We will definitely go again and try the rest that is on the menu like the ‘Lambshank Redemption’ burger.

My oh my.

I ate so much that I feel guilty and went for a jog the next day. 30 minutes later, I went back home coz I was freezing to death. Haha.

XOXO

2014 The Year of Horse

Hello!

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

We welcome the start of  the year of wooden horse! Chinese zodiac consist of 12-year of cycle animals and the horse is one of it. Wood , metal, fire, water and earth are the elements that these animals interact with. 2014, is the year of wooden horse and the end of water snake year.

It is said by some astrologers that this year will be a fast full year of conflicts and who see wood as providing fuel for the energetic horse. People that were born in the year of horse are said to be animated, active and energetic. They love being in a crowd, they are quick to learn, independent and they have a straightforward and positive attitude towards life. They are known for their communication skills and are exceedingly witty.

Horses are also stubborn. They are usually impatient and hot blooded about everything other than their daily work. They are independent and rarely listen to advice. Failure may result in pessimism. They usually have strong endurance but with bad temper.  Due to a lack of budgetary efficiency, they are not good with matters of finance. Haha.

Fortune Foretelling in 2014

Career: Horse people are easily offended this year even for trifles, and seem not to keep a harmonious relationship with colleagues. Sometimes they doubt themselves too much, leading to a gradual loss of confidence. When finishing a task, they seek confirmation again and again from people around them. In this case, it is suggested to be confident and talk more to family instead of complaining to colleagues. Just keep a low profile, get along well with your boss and be careful of tricks by mean people and then achievements in your job will come.

Wealth: Their financial fortune will be unstable in 2014. It seems that there will be much unexpected cost. Thus to make ends meet comes first When managing money matters, they should consider accepting others’ suggestion. It is necessary to be careful to make any investment. Businesspeople should make a full scheme before making a large amount of investment, because the market will be changeable in the year.

Relationships: The fortune in love life for horse people will be just so-so. If they would like to get married in the year, it is strongly suggested to select an auspicious date according to the dates of birth of the bride and the bridegroom, or they will suffer a lot in marriage. Singles may meet several people that they have feelings for, but none of them are doomed to be their Mr./Ms. Right. If faced with a dilemma, they’d better refer to the idea or suggestion of their relatives and friends. Husband and wife will argue a lot in the year; a focus on communication and mutual understanding can avoid it. For all lovers, mutual trust is the secret for an everlasting relationship.

Health: As they offend “Taisui” this year, they may suffer some discomforts. Some insidious diseases like dermatosis may happen. To avoid that, they’d better have a full physical examination. Besides, they also need to be careful to avoid unexpected injuries by knives and others sharp items. Females should pay attention to problem in urinary system and males need to care more about their stomach. Adjusting their emotions and traveling outside will help with their health as well. They also need to remember not to eat too much for each meal.
